Marshall 2203, Vintage 30 vs. G12T-75

Re: Marshall 2203, Vintage 30 vs. G12T-75

I have to be honest man, you're going to need to give us two seperate clips... the blending of the two makes it harder to judge.

That said, still sounds great! Love the vocal harmonies. Drums need a bit more verb on em, but should be cake after that!

Damn that clip sounds awesome! Thing is, I am with Jeff. We need to clips. And is that you singing?! if so you pull of Danzig's voice DAMN well.

lol...use the pan slider you lazy bastards!:D

Seriously though, if I reach the point at which I'm not sick of hearing the song, I'll do it. :earl:

Thanks for listening guys! Yes, it is me rockin' the mic.

For whatever reason, I never thought of the pan slider :smack:

And damn man, you sound awesome on that track. You pull off Danzig very, very well.

Re: Marshall 2203, Vintage 30 vs. G12T-75

Maybe im deaf. I cant really tell the difference between left and right.. when i switched from the T75 to other speakers the dif is night and day, seriously. wtf?

Re: Marshall 2203, Vintage 30 vs. G12T-75

That's weird! I can hear it pretty plainly. However, I forgot to say that the intro is all V-30. Not until the double-tracked rhythm kicks in can you hear the difference.

Re: Marshall 2203, Vintage 30 vs. G12T-75

Hey, Jeff, I spooged some reverb on the snare, toms, and hats!

Re: Marshall 2203, Vintage 30 vs. G12T-75

Sounds better, but you might want to go with more of a dark room than the short echo it sounds like you have going on.

Also, I'm not a fan of reverb on cymbals... maybe a touch on the overall OH, if things are sounding super dead, but if DFH2 has the ambience mic, I'd raise that level instead of verbing the cymbals.

Re: Marshall 2203, Vintage 30 vs. G12T-75

Thank you for listening...Twist of Cain is a favorite of mine as well. This one spoke to me for some strange reason.

Re: Marshall 2203, Vintage 30 vs. G12T-75

Left side sounds much better to me (G12T-75). The right side sounds kinda nasaly.

BTW, your singing rocks! I'm not so much into Danzig's solo stuff but I loved the Misfits. It would be great to hear some well produced versions of older Misfits songs if you're ever up to it.

Re: Marshall 2203, Vintage 30 vs. G12T-75

The vocals are Very good, but really not my cup of tea, i preffer unholy ones. Q:P
and the distortion is as good as always.
i´ll checkj the pan and tell you my impressions
do you have a pair of V 30´S laying around to trade with me for 2 g12 t 75?

Re: Marshall 2203, Vintage 30 vs. G12T-75

I say the 75 and V30 compliment each other perfectly in that clip. No wonder it seems to be such a popular speaker combo choice.

Re: Marshall 2203, Vintage 30 vs. G12T-75

Wow mn, love your clips all the time man! Remember me from the marshall forum? I think these speakers compliment beautifly.
