Marshall amp casters

Can someone here tell me if a marshall 1960tv comes with casters installed when ordered new? Or does it require assembly?

Re: Marshall amp casters

It requires "assembly", if you'd call it that. The casters are removable. They come in the box separate from the cab. You just screw them in and unscrew them whenever you feel like it. No biggie.

Re: Marshall amp casters

Does propping up the bottom of the cab make it difficult? I'm not handy, or strong... May have to call my brother

Re: Marshall amp casters

Well, you do have to flip the cab on its side to screw the casters in. I don't mean this in a bad way, but if you think you won't manage, well... let's just say removing/installing the casters is not the worst PITA about moving a 4x12. :p

Re: Marshall amp casters

OK. True, I have a medical condition and cannot lift heavy things, so this is a concern of mine. But we have hard wood floors in our house, so I am hoping movigng stuff around will be easier with the wheels. We'll see.

Heaviest amp I ever owned was a carvin 2x12. That sucker was dead weight and I hated it. Hoping I'll be able to manage a half stack

Re: Marshall amp casters

Sorry to hear about your condition. But yeah, it does take the cab being flipped to its side to screw the casters in. Honestly, I remember unboxing the new cab was more of a chore than installing the casters.

Re: Marshall amp casters

Thanks! I'll have someone help me! Like I said, got the hardwood floors so hopefully transporting it room to room won't be a major chore.
