Marshall amps made in CHINA in the near future!? WHAT!?!?

Re: Marshall amps made in CHINA in the near future!? WHAT!?!?

Never heard that. So much for quality made amps. :smack: Pretty much anything made in china sucks. :lmao:

Re: Marshall amps made in CHINA in the near future!? WHAT!?!?

I dont KNOW anything about it but I am not surprised that it could be happening. Haven't you noticed the trends of MOST businesses lately??? Outsourcing to other countries IS alot cheaper than making stuff here in the U.S. The idea bothers me just as much as you, though. Kills our job oppurtunites and hence eventually America's overall economy. As well as product quality. I would say who is REALLY at fault for that but alot of people would get mad at me and it isn't worth the argument.

He's probobly confused himself with the speakers being used in it?

At least Hopefully he is..

Re: Marshall amps made in CHINA in the near future!? WHAT!?!?

its a possibility. the mg series are made in india and later korea. maybe china is next just like the epis.

Re: Marshall amps made in CHINA in the near future!? WHAT!?!?

before anyone starts getting upset, lets hear em first. try it out first before you see where it is made. i have played plenty of marshalls made in england that were awful, and many were good.

Re: Marshall amps made in CHINA in the near future!? WHAT!?!?

If y'all have purchased Celestions in the past few years, you already have Chinese-made gear. Personally, I don't think Marshall's quality has been "all that" for quite some time--Chinese manufacturing might actually improve things.

Re: Marshall amps made in CHINA in the near future!? WHAT!?!?

Most likely everything but the custom shop stuff is partially or mostly made somewhere in Asia.

Re: Marshall amps made in CHINA in the near future!? WHAT!?!?

If Jim Marshall had the same integrity now that he did in the 60's, he'd move upward, not downward, and buy out Bogner. Then, instead of making crap, Marshall could replace all their circuitry with the ingenious designs of Mr. Reinholdt Bogner, keep producing them in England, charge a little bit more, and stomp his competition into the ground. But he won't, and Marshall will continue to dwindle in quality, while the Marshall clones blow their amps into the weeds. Then, like Fender and Gibson, they'll whine that everyone ripped them off, even though they know their competition has continued with the integrity they lost long ago.

Amen Brother.

If they went to China and went back to old designs to produce a great product with less labor cost that would be a easier to deal with. You know that ain't going to happen.
How much money does it take to make a rich man happy?

Just a little more.

Re: Marshall amps made in CHINA in the near future!? WHAT!?!?

Was that the same integrity that ripped off all the Fender designs? :naughty:

Business is business that's the way of the world. I swear though there has to be some Chinese guy that is like the snoop in Willy Wonka going around and whispering in the "ears" of every corporation in the world saying "Make you stuff in China, get richer the flock won't know a thing".

I don't care much for Chinese made products but just recently looked at how much of my newer gear comes from there. My new Tascam recorder - China, my new tube mic pre-amp- China, my Studio Projects C1 mic - China. Crazy they have taken over the mid-range market now where they used to only own the low-end. Scary thing is this is all great stuff, I don't like it but I don't see it changing for anything but the worse anytime soon.

excellent point, Wattage. Everythings about money, it doesn't matter how much you COULD spend to make top quality, but if you can save money somewhere, go for it. I don't like where the world is going to end up with everything being made in 3rd world countries :blackeye:

Thats really the only reason i dont like it and that in the long run it will ruin our economies and the chineese will take over the world....Funny that this is happening already..Americans and Irish and english and germans etc. wont take certain obs and the only people that will do them are these coming in from china and other eastern countries, eventually they work their up and basically own the company..Sorry if that sounded racist that was not intended in the slightest as the reason this is happening is because there so hardworking and determined that they will do any job, but this is enevitable..

sorry to go a tad off track.. :laugh2: :laugh2:
