Marshall AVT Vs. MG series

Re: Marshall AVT Vs. MG series

I have an MG50 DFX and to start with it was great (a huge improvement on my Squire 15watt) but now I struggle to find tones i'm happy with. For quite along time now i've been considering getting an AVT or possibly going full valve, for me the MG's just don't cut it on tone.

i love my avt150, so many people say they suck, but i love it.

i've been getting some great tones from mine lately!!

Re: Marshall AVT Vs. MG series

I have an MG100DFX and I LOVE this thing. You just push in the FDD button and it "rectify's" the tone, It has AWESOME distortion for metal, just press the OD2 in and you ahve a huge gain setting. If you turn the distortion channels level up and control the master volume, you can hear how raw and heavy this amps tone can be. I play metal so I think this amp rules. The distortion is incredible, the built in effects are just what i need (a lil delay or reverb or chorus or flange, whatever i need)2 channels with a footswitch. It has been great for practices so i dont know what you guys are talking about.... and you can plug headphones in. you can also plug ina cd player and jam along with a track!
