I couldn't get on-board with my Class 5, but I'm willing to give a head version a second chance. With my PlexiTone running into it, I'll bet it's just the right prescription for my daily practice tube amp fever.

Oh... and I'd like to see it come in white and red flavors too!

Nope, they're gonna come with a 2x12, but you can add any cab you like.

It's funny that I'm mentioning mods before the amp even ships, but I'm sure Mercury Magnetics will seize the opportunity to make upgrade kits for these.

I would have picked up a head at the time I did my 1x10 combo (Cream). I use it like a head but also find the 1x10 workable for messing around. As such it is working great for me.

So, can you honestly hear a big enough of a diff in tone, to say the extra money spent on these aftermarket trannies are worth it ?

Well yes, you will hear a difference, but wither or not you want to spend twice the price of a Class 5...

Personally I would not spend that for a $300 amp, but on something like a 1959 reissue.

Oh heck yeah! I'm already picturing that thing on the 1960AHW cab in my avatar.

I'm picturing it on my Avatar 2x12. That thing would sound amazing through that cab. It's loaded with Celestion Classic Lead 80's.

+1 , only mine has G12H30s in it. But damn , now that YJM100 is looking mighty tempting , and probably a $1000 more than the Class 5
