Marshall DSL 40c vs Marshall TSL100

What would be the better deal? Id be buying the DSLc new at around $800 (PR Tax) and the tsl would be used for $600. I think I can snag a 212 cab for around $200 with at least some celestion 70/80s...

is the TSL100 a good choice? owner claims it has no issues regarding Bias etc...



I'm really just trying to get the real marshall sound. I feel this Older TSL will be able to deliver that classic crunch better than the 1x12 40 watt new DSL.

Haven't played the TSL but by all accounts they are quite different, it's not just a DSL with more options.
They are solid amps but they get pretty mixed opinions.

This amp is pretty near the bottom of the barrel when it comes to Marshall flagship designs. I dont have a very high opinion of the 900 series, and far less of the TSL.

There is a reason they cancelled the TSL before the DSL, and have brought back the DSL again. The TSL has a few fans, but not many in the grand scheme of things.

I own a dsl40 now. I have no use for the red channel, but the green channel is alot of bang for the buck. Its no 2204 or 1987, but its definitely a classic crunchy marshall tone.

Another "No" on the TSL100. I can spill in detail this evening when I have a keyboard in front of me.

P.S. -- I've played a DSL40C, liked it, and am thinking of buying one.

Give Sweetwater a call, they ship some stuff to Puerto Rico, and they have a DSL40C with a Celestion Creamback in it for the same price as the standard model. Should make it sound a lot better
