Marshall dsl combo advice

More depression initiated by guitar center:D played through a JCM2000 DSL401 combo. Had a tonegasm.

Went home and finally got fed up with my f*cking line6.

At guitar center it was about 800 bucks. I see a few going for cheaper on ebay, but I don't need that much wattage, really... or the extra $$$

Anyone experienced with the JCM2000 DSL201 (combo)? Will it get me the same sound (except quieter of course? Any advice concerning it?

More of an issue is the fact that I can't find them anywhere. Not on ebay, not on samash, musiciansfriend, guitar center etc. Anyone got one? (probably more appropriate for the trade room, but I need advice on this thing before I buy it) How much do they go for?

thanks,
dan

Re: Marshall dsl combo advice

From what I've heard Marshall pulled the DSL201 from production pretty fast due to design/reliability issues. The DSL401 is a good combo amp that may or may not be prone to overheating. My friend dropped a circulation fan in his (like you'd find near the heat sink/processor on a computer) and that resolved the issue.
