I totally agree with most everything said about the DSL, except that I didn't think it covered some of the new metal stuff to well. We did some Disturbed and that was the only stuff taht I didnt' like my sound for.
I did have to get a new transformer in it when I got it though, all I heard from a lot of guys is" YOu have to get the transformer replaced" SO I asked my tech and he suggested it.
Once he did my tone controls became a LOT more responsive. The amp also had a lot more bottom end to it.
The ist lead channel had more than enough gain for me, but I didn't care for the second lead channel, it sounded really good , but it was that Midrangy Randy Rhoads type tone . It sounded great, but not for me.
I put a boss chorus and EQ in for the cleans and that took care of the shared EQ problem.
I got a tubescreamer that I use with the clean sound and that took care of the 3rd channel that the TSL has
The TSL also has some kind of funky footsitch wich from what I' was told is quit expensive to get fixed.
I've got some clips if anyone is interested, my playing isn't the best, and the clips were recorded with a video camera sooooo........
