Marshall DSL vs Splawn?

I just watched this dsl clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2XB0W26ycw and it sounds really great. I always thought DSL's were buzzy and lifeless after i've played a TSL 2x12 combo, but I guess that's why ppl say the DSL's are better, maybe it had old tubes and\or bad cab\speakers so that could also be the reason why I didn't like it...
Anyway that clip of the ultra channel really reminded me of some of the splawn clips i've heared, with the smooth clean gain, the splawn sounds more aggresive though. Could anyone who've played these two amps compare them please?

The DSL is a nice amp, but the Splawn destroys it, in my opinion.

They are quite different though. To me, the Splawn has a more Van Halenish sound to it, whereas the DSL sounds more 'classic marshall'.

Build quality-wise, the Splawn is acres ahead. Great value for money.
