got a new DSL100H
i used to have the older JCM2000 DSL100
the preamp on this newer one sounds a little tighter and less noisey
tho they maybe exactly the same
the resonance knob really helps getting things sounding better compared to the full on bass button which was great as well

Love those. I used to have the JCM2000, but everyone was complaining it was too loud in the rehearsal room and on 1 it sounded like ****. So I got the DSL15H, great amp, even for loud gigs :headbang:

A old band mate of mine had that amp...his didn’t sound anything like yours! Yours sounds MUCH better!!

i found boosting it litely and using less gain on the amp makes a difference. also having a guitar directly made to cater to this sound-8 string with EMGs

What did you use to boost with?
I have a BB Preamp I use with my Quickrod which seems to work pretty well.
Whatever you’re using sounded killer too.

bad monkey
vol 3 o'clock
tones at 12
gain at 0

i personally find this pedal makes the crunch different
less exciting and focuses more for power chords with less high end
than say a od808 or sd1
it makes it more industrial sounding
korn uses it and i can tell the guitars all have a BM rolled off top end
