Marshall for a Marshall trade.

APOLOGIES (in advance) if this sounds like your typical Harmony Central style teenage-like question.
But . . . i value the group's informative opinion(s).

I was given the option to do a straight swap.
My Marshall VintageModern 50W head for Marshall Origin 50W 1X12 combo.

I can not play the Origin, as the other person lives 6 hours away.
Is there an advantage (for me) to do such a trade ?
Can the Origin 50 do any vintage tones that my current VintageModern can not do ?

Does anyone have any experience with this 50W combo ?
Any info would be great !
Thanks ;)

Bad, dumb trade. Whoever offered that deal to you is actively trying to rip you off. Be rude to them.

As far as the VM and vintage tones go:

Re: Marshall for a Marshall trade.

Good choice, the VM is a real made in the UK Marshall, the Origin 50, while a cool amp for the $, is one of the newer MIC Marshalls. You have the better amp.

Re: Marshall for a Marshall trade.

The VintageModern is a GREAT amp. Very capable of vintage tones. You have chosen wisely.
