Marshall Guv'nor pedal discontinued?

It looks like Marshall is discontinuing the Guv'nor Plus pedal, which I was pretty surprised to see. Does anyone know exactly why this is being done? Or if they have any plans to replace it with anything else? Tonally, the closest pedal to it is probably the Jackhammer, but that's really meant for high gain, and doesn't clean up all that nicely for lower gain applications.

I find the move pretty strange, though. I was under the impression that the Guv'nor was Marshall's best known and most popular pedal....

It's funny. Guitar Center ran a sale on them this weekend. You could get them all weekend for $29.99. I went yesterday morning and they were all gone. The guy behind the counter told me they only got 3 in for the whole store. Way to go GC!

I called Musician's Friend and they would match the price (naturally, since they own GC), but were all out and were not getting any more in. So I assumed they were being discontinued.

Marshall is probably coming out with a new version or something.

p.s. I found out that Musician's Friend also owns Music 123:bsflag: Pretty scary.
