oh and it sounds better through the splawn cab than the '79 basketweave 1960 lead 4x12 IMO. too bad it's getting late so i couldn't crank it too much only had the preamp on 10 and the vol on 4 1/2 or so and it was a bit loud lol...esp with the screamer clone (primal scream) in front of it! i think i need to get a hotplate for it before i decide to sell it b/c well it sucks at low volume but it starts sounding pretty damn sweet around "shake down the house" volume with the clone in front of it to give it a kick in the a$$ lol.

I tell ya, I'm REALLY diggin this Rivera...may wanna check into them. No it's NOT a plexi, but it has some seriously good Marshall mojo.

Yeah....I really like the idea of a Knuckelhead.

The problem is, I have an incredible amp already, and it's never sounded better than thru my 4x12. I'm not sure what my deal is lately.....I think I really want a head.

That Two Rock I played and heard at UGD has really just stuck in my craw. I'm a freakin mess. If I wanted the ultimate clone, I'd have Scott SPlawn do a plexi for me...he does a 3 channel version.

I need therapy.

I can actually JUSTIFY needing a head at this point, since I don't have one, but have a 4x12. Whatever I ultimately get will have to be special. Bogner XTC or Shiva, Rivera Knuckelhead, SIlver Jubilee, Two Rock Emerald, Divided by 13, Splawn Pro Mod, Trainwreck, Matchless....something cool, at least 2 channels and expensive.

It will have to be THE amp.

oh and Jeff you inspired me...i think my marshall is going to get som fresh tubes and a thd hot plate to see if i can put it into action more often before i decide to mod it or sell it.

I'm here for you bro...whatever keeps you from selling that amp to me is apparently what I am destined to do.

Might I suggest some of the GT 12AX7-C's for the pre, and EH 6CA7's for the power.

i just sent the almighty GJ a pm about tube info hehehe. i'm looking for tubes (every tube in it) that will help increase the gain a bit and fatten it up a bit if possible with a simple tub change. will your tube choices help in those areas? this thing needs more of an attitude if it's going to stick around here lol.

also what was the link for the good online tube store, i keep getting them mixed up.

I know I already have a Marshall. I should just really buy a Two Rock. I'm also thinking about buying Scott's Franklin/Lightning...whatever it's called...head.

I am so confused. I really don't need anything...it's all about want.
