Marshall Handwired vs. Vintage series

Marshal have two "Plexi" heads in their product line at the moment. One is the 1959 HW handwired, the other is the 1959 SLP vintage series. I am curious as to how they compare against each other, as they have the same output and tubes, and both are refered to as the "real deal".

So if you have tried them or have any info, please help me out.

nah i was just kidding. becos u always buy cool gear... :)

Re: Marshall Handwired vs. Vintage series

well, i've never played either, but perhaps the handwired has bigger transformers or sturdier components?

Re: Marshall Handwired vs. Vintage series

well obviously the handwired one is built by wiring the components by hand, as opposed to on a printed circuit board. supposedly the two have different circuits, I believe the vintage series one is a copy of a slightly modded plexi (not sure about the handwired one)
