Just want to spread the word on these. They definitely are the real deal.
I jammed with it on the weekend and was very happy with the tone I was getting.
Straight in with my Les Paul. The drive channel cover all my blues to hard rock needs. With the boost function and my EMG loaded ESP I got great Metal tones.
This amp is very tweakable, and has kick ass bass response due to the closed, ported back. Never had the Bass past 5. GNR stuff sounded wicked.
This amp is in your face, great mids and highs as well.
This amp is voiced darker then your average Marshall, so I had both the treble and presence around 3 o'clock.
The effects are vintage voiced, and remember your setting for each channel.
So can go from a clean chorus to the drive channel with a little echo for solos when needed. Also a vibe effect which is also very cool for strats.
There's also the ability to remove both the on board effects and the effects loop completely from the signal path for pure EL-34 unadulterated tone!!
I never needed to go past half on the volume! Hard hitting drummer as well who also gave me a thumbs up from the sounds I was getting!
Very hassle free and easy to get the tones we love from Marshall
Only 45lbs. Guitar Case in one hand and amp in the other and I was good to go.
I usually lug my Jubilee head (amazing) and 2/12 cab, and effects pedal board around. Can be a real pain. This gives another option. Did I mention this amp is fun to play. Sounds good on a quarter volume for quieter jamming and smokes the more you turn it up.
Marshall deserves props for this one!!
I have also owned the valvstates and DSL 40 and 20.
The Haze is much better! Check out Doug Aldrich jamming on one of these. Just key in a search.
Feel free to ask questions, if you've been thinking about a portable Marshall.
