Are there mods out there to fix the distortion side to make it useable? Would be cool if there was a mod to make the distortion side a Mesa Rectifier clone. Then the best of both worlds and would sound more convincing than the Sansamp GT2

Are they similar sound wise as in can the Jackhammer get the chug (radiohead style) of the shredmaster

The shredmaster still rules, but the jackhammer's OD mode can get close. And yes, if you're only after the "chug", the jackhammer, even on the OD mode, still has a lot more gain than the shredmaster.
