Marshall JCM600 2x12 combo, model 602. 60W, two channels, 2x12 open-back combo. Currently has Svetlana EL34 power tubes, about 6 months old. Preamp tubes are a mix of Mesa and Marshall 12AX7's. JJ's sound great in the preamp of this amp, but mine all went microphonic, so I put the ones that came with the amp back in it.

It sounds good, very good. Excellent cleans, one of the best Marshall has ever made. This one was made in 1997. There are a few flaws as a result of being played for the last 9 years:

Tolex rip on top, and it's ripped/lifting from the back inside edges. Is also missing a foot. I'll sell it for $480 without the footswitch, $500 with.

It has been gigged. It performed very well in various situations and held up through transportation.

NOTE: I don't want to ship this out yet. I'd love for one of you New Englanders to come and take it away from me. If no one bites after awhile, I'll ship it.

I had the 1x12 and matching 1x12 cab, this was definately a sleeper for Marshall. Great cleans and reverb! Not high gain, but nice vintage growl. Good luck on the sale!

It certainly doesn't have as much 'extra' gain as my new Mesa does, but it's got more than enough for playing most rock music. I actually kept the gain between 10 and 12 o'clock for about the last six months.

I'd really like to see that go to a good home too, since it came from my home originally!!!!! Definately one of the best Marshall combo's I've ever played, and a sale that I have regretted more than once. Best of luck on the sale Tom.

Anyone who buys this amp for classic rock/blues...anything but full on metal high gain will be very happy, and the clean channel takes pedal's very well.

EDIT: Nvm.. keep on.. I got into an arguement with my parents about it, and I couldn't pick it up, nor pay for it (not money wise, means wise)...

Timmy, not sure if I understand your post, but this IS a master volume amp....two channels, clean and dirty. Great sounds at low volumes, even better one's cranked.

If it is stock, those speakers are Celestions that Marshall had made for them, the Marshall Vintage G12. They are 70 watt speakers, and often get confused for V30's. They are brighter that V30's, and don't have that upper-mid spike. I like em'. :)

Great amp Tom, saw it on Craigslist also. One of the better sounding modern Marshall's but not a high-gainer. Takes a pedal well, I may add.

It's had all it's shots, and needs a good home.
