These(also the g12h30's) are the classic Speaker choices for the Marshall heads. So much so that they are are reissiued by Celestion. What Speakers do you use in your Marshall cabinets ? I have two cabs. One is loaded with vintage G12m-25' "Greenbacks"(actually "blackbacks", pretty much the same as greenbacks) and the other loaded with G12-65's. The '65's are called the "voice of 80's rock" and are recently reissued by Celestion. They do sound fantastic, although i love the woodier and richer sound of the G12-m's. Ahhh, its all good brah!

I'm using Emi Swamp Thangs, w/ some V30's...and I really like the change, over the stock G1275's. Enhanced bottom-end, w/ a nice midrange boost...FWIW.

GB/BB and the 65s are my absolute faves from Celestion

Very cool they are reissuing the 65s now. I'd be all over them if I still had a real tube amp :banghead:

*tangent* I also noticed on the Celestion site that the EVH celestions are based on original 20W greenbacks. I know a Peavey 5150 sounds a hella lot better through some 25w GBs. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot was peavey thinking with the sheffields or whatever are in stock 5150 cabs???
