Marshall JTM145

If you're gonna get someone in to do you a demo, there's no point getting a rank amateur in to do the job...

Want.

Got to finally listen in HD, that amp sounds fantastic. Too bad its a LE. Of course I am quite fam with The Beast too, and that guitar will make any amp sound good, but that little amp sounds much better and bigger than the JTM1 or Offset1 did.

Blistering is the word. Clapton, Green, Taylor.

Re: Marshall JTM145

Okay, so I get that a marshall played by joe bonamassa is going to sound good, no matter what.

I mean, what did you expect it to sound like? You're listening to a guy who could make a fork and a magnet sound good through an electric toaster oven.

Would it be cool to own? F*** yes. Are there other amps I would buy for the $1500 or so it costs? If you think that's a question you might be insane. Yes, I would spend $1500 on things besides a 1 watt amp.

To get it shipped to the US it will probably be at least $2200. Without shipping it's just shy of $2k by about thirty bucks.

Damn exchange rates.

Re: Marshall JTM145

Sounds great. Of course, you've gotta factor Joe into that...

IMO, that specific Gibson Les Paul was the magic ingredient. The Captain could have made it sound just as good.

Allow me to rephrase the question.

Are there things I would get for $2 grand, that aren't a single 1-watt amp/cap/whatever it comes with? I'll give you a hint: yes. My ideal guitar and amp setup cost around $1 grand together. (HS parts tele, Baby Will 1974x-based amp, with a 5751 in v1 and a 12ay7 in v2, and a v30 speaker) I say ideal but it's my favorite combo of guitar/amp by a long ways so far that I've played.
