Marshall MG15CDR speaker ohm help?

The speaker in my practice amp sucks. I think it will blow soon and I want to exchange it for a Celestion Super 8 or some of the 8" Weber models, but I don't know what ohm load to use. It does not say anything on the speaker and the Marshall customer service is not responding to my e-mail. I see some amps in the same class use 8 ohm speakers and others use 4 ohms, I need my practice amp so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't suppose you have a multi-meter on hand...?

or you could just ask a guitar shop if they have one on hand and just bring your amp in. Im sure plenty of guitar shops or maybe a Radio Shack would let you do this.


Ever consider using an external speaker with it? Then you wouldn't be restricted to the 8" enclosure. Just curious.
