Marshall Mosfet lead 100

Re: Marshall Mosfet lead 100

anyone have any info on this amp. from what i found out its an old solid state amp from the 80s. how do they sound?

Like an old SS amp from teh 80's.

My friend probably still has his from back then. If you want the "80's" style hard rock sound and want SS go Randall - RG120ES head, can't beat them and they're cheap.

+1 for the Randall.

I used to have one a few years back. Sounds really good for a solid state amp. Well good for glam/hair metal. Can also Cop a pretty good Johnny Thunders/NYD's sorta sound, thats what I was useing it for. At the time I had it I was in a 70's style Glam Cover band (Dolls, Bowie, T-rex, mott the hoople etc...) and it worked beautifully for that. Cleans sucked though. The reverb was really kool sounding too, Not a fender style verb or anything, but still really nice sounding.

I snapped up one recently for £50. Is a fairly good amp is for an SS amp (which is why i snapped it up as a backup head). As mentioned already has a certain 70s type feel to it. Great fun:)
