Just play it through a real good amp and you got that Marshall chrunch in plenty.

See if you can find those old black ones instead, Shredmaster, Drivemaster, Guv'nor, or get the JMP-1 preamp.

if i remember right With Full Distortion had a Shredmaster he wanted to sell or trade a while ago, but i havent seen him on the forum in a while. he was on msn today though for a few minutes so i guess you could email the guy

I first used the original guv'nor going direct into a desk... didn't even need an amp to get that heavy marshall stack sound.

I actually have an old black Shreadmaster pedal. Bought it at a music store for $40.00. Could use a bit more treble but other than that it's not bad.

There is nothing wrong with the new guvnor, compared to other pedals it fits my style and besides the old ones are very hard to get these days.

I have bother versions of the Guv'nor and I prefer the old black ones too.

I have a Jackhammer, through a clean amp its is like playing a Marshall, just like you want to do. Youll like it.
