Re: marshall pedals
I'm pretty sure Carcass used Guv'nors in front of their 5150/JCM900s.

That sounds excellent, bro. :fing2:
Wonder what it would sound like with the volume at noon.JeffB said:Thanks bro!Of course it sounds better "live". That's with the volume on the amp at 9 o clock as well (no master volume on the VS65R) Not terribly loud at all (the amp is not that loud period....def "ss watts")
The Guv'nor is def good by itself, but I like it even better as a "goose."..it's supplying roughly half the gain in that clip. With the Deep/bass controls It added the chunk and "balls" the VS65 was missing on it's own and the VS65R's internal gain keeps it more tubelike and less "wonky"/keeps it from "flubbing out". I'm pretty amazed at how good they work together. Great setup for the home/bedroom :bigthumb:
Stevo said:Get a Plexitone!! Please check it out.. it has better Marshall tone than any Marshall pedal that I've tried.
Davey said:mkay .. so tell me more bout the plexitone.. and how much $$$ it is
Rid said:Thanks for the heads up guys, if you want a really hotrod version, try AMT effects, I swear this Russin guy who makes them is a freaking genious!!!
I tried a few of his tubestuff disto's, and some other things he makes, even a Tweed drive, that one was sweeeet!
Anyways, he makes some really dirty heavy pedals too.
Bought a DistStation my self, I am going to use it as a reference and play it too
One thing with the Plexitone, it likes fat sounding pickups, and it loves a good amp, then that thing it has will do its job.
I just got home from Frankfurt, I am semidead from fatigue, traveled some 2000 km this weekend.....gargh...hehe
I have a few pictures I will share

though i think i could get it cheaper from rid directly since youguys have to import from denmark, but still. way too much that i'm currently willing to spend.
i AM aware of that, but like said. cant spend that much on a pedal ATM. i can get the guvnor in a trade so i'd pay like 10$ at best for itSTRATDELUXER97 said:Remember the old adage...."You get what you pay for"....It is pricey though..:smack:
