this had to be done for myself, i needed to a/b them
Marshall Valvestate Vs100 vs Marshall DSL100
Vs100 is 1st, riff loops twice
DSL100 is 2nd, riff loops twice

Vs100 clip is from 10/28/2009 (D standard)
DSL100 is from today (C# Standard)

i know i tune one note lower with the DSL100
but you can hear its not just that. there is more range to get out of the DSL100 tubes!

the final battle! this is to put my old valvestate clips to rest.
R.I.P. ole buddy!

warning music starts right away at full volume!

The DSL's got better tone overall but the VS100 still doesn't sound that bad.

Are the two amps in that clip? Through my laptop speakers it sounds like the same tone throughout.

i think i should pickup a valvestate! :lmao:

well i will remember that next time to not tell which is which :)

but you can tell there is no power tube section with the valvestate, to me the valvestate is very accurate and direct in the power section and that sounds dry to me.

i agree both can be great! i sold that valvestate cause i have a DSL, but if i was in a pinch it can be very good amp and records easy. but can sound very boxy if not tweaked out. same for DSL though, its boxy if i dont cut the lower mids and boost it in front. :)

peace out and thanks for listening
