Wanted to add pics, so It was easier to just created a new post

Virtually new (in pristine condition), less than 15 hours of smoke-free bedroom playing time. No flaws, no dents, no tears, no scratches, no scuff marks. Tubes are nearly new...just barely "broken in". This IS essentially brand new. Black under normal lighting, lush deep purple under bright or sun light.

100 watts of pure Marshall power. (4xKT66, 4x12AX7 [ECC83]). Single channel, but with its foot-switchable High Range, it functions essentially as a two channel amp.

Vintage Marshall tone...very rich cleans with solid bass, lush mids and sparkley highs, with that great vintage crunch tone to die for. Modern Marshall high gain tone with excellent bite and clarity. Reverb. Mid boost. Effects loop (-10 dB & +4dB selectable). Two frequency-selective pre-amp volumes (gains) - "Body" and "Detail" give it great flexibility in tone shaping. Extremely dynamic - responds to your picking technique and your guitar's volume and tone controls.

Go online and read the reviews from owners of this amp. This is one of the best, most toneful, flexible, yet simple to use amps available.

I'm not gigging nor even in a band right now, only bedroom play. This is way more amp than I can use so I need to sell this and get a smaller more useful practice amp. This is priced for a quick sell, just over 1/2 price, but I'm willing to take the loss so I can get something that I can comfortably play without annoying my wife, my neighbors, my neighbors’ neighbors, or the neighbors two blocks away.

MSRP = $2100. Guitar Center on-line sale price = $1649 (purple). http://www.guitarcenter.com/Marshall-Vintage-Modern-2466-Tube-Amp-Head-480769-i1549455.gc

Footswitch included.

This is my craigslist ad, asking $895. For forum bros I'll let it go for $800 (that's less than 1/2 price for the purple tolex model). If I need to ship it to you, of course there will be shipping charges. I can't afford to ship it free at this price.

Nobody interested in this amazing amp?

Man, I really gotta get rid of this to finance my replacement amp. Anyone want to make me an offer?

Re: MARSHALL VM 2466, 100 watt all valve amp

it's a good deal, that's for sure. wasn't paul gilbert rocking these for a bit (maybe still is?)

Re: MARSHALL VM 2466, 100 watt all valve amp

No. No trades. I just need to get rid of this to finance my new 30 watt amp (Egnater Rebel 30).

Re: MARSHALL VM 2466, 100 watt all valve amp

REDUCED PRICE to forum members...

How does $749 sound?!

Please help me out here. I've really got to get rid of this amp. Gotta raise some $$$ to pay for a smaller amp.

If you've been thinking about getting a great Marshall amp, you can't beat this price. If you buy this, you'll be getting a great amp and helping out a forum bro in the process. It's a win/win deal.

Re: MARSHALL VM 2466, 100 watt all valve amp

It IS a great price. Just need someone to step up to it. My new amp will be coming this weekend so I've got to sell it fast to cover my bases. If for nothing else, buy it now and turn it over later for a few bucks more. You'll be helping out a forum bro and making some $$$ on the side.

Make me an offer...I'm desperate! My wife will kill me for buying another amp if I can't pay for it.

Re: MARSHALL VM 2466, 100 watt all valve amp

That is an awesome deal bro, anyone in need of a head would be crazy to pass this up, if you want I can see if I can scare up some interest for you. I have some friend's in need of new amps.....

Re: MARSHALL VM 2466, 100 watt all valve amp

Yeh man. That would be great, and greatly appreciated.

It really needs to be played loud to appreciate its tone. I can't do that in my bedroom. In the high gain setting, as with all high gain amps, there is some hum. Not noticable at reasonable volume, but a bit annoying at very low volume playing like I do.

If you play mainly in small venues, you may need an attenuater so you can crank the amp to get the best tone, but still be playing at reasonable volumes (unless you play in a band like my last one that played loud all the time...heavy-handed drummer, you know).

Re: MARSHALL VM 2466, 100 watt all valve amp

You know the market is in a sad state when someone can't unload one of these for $750. If I had the extra funds, I'd take it off your hands without a problem.

Re: MARSHALL VM 2466, 100 watt all valve amp

Thanks for the sentiment, 9finger.

Sure wish I could unload it. I need to pay for a smaller amp with the funds I hope to get from this Marshall.

Ditto. I'd snap that up in a heartbeat, man. Wish I had the money.
