Marshall vs The World!

I've been asking around about different amps for awhile. Now it looks like I might actually get to buy one. Bebop, Hard Bop, Fusion, and Classic Rock is the range of music I plan to cover.

I tell you, I see ppl going ape **** over everything from Bogners and Boogies to Polytones and Acoustic Images. I would be lying if I said that I was not attracted to the mystique of some of these amps. But just when I convince myself that I should buy one of these much sought after amps, I see some guy put it down on a simple Marshall like nobody's business. Then I have to ask myself, "Is there anything that's really better than a Marshall?", or is it all marketing hype and BS!

If you want the worlds best three channel PC board Marshall,buy a Bogner Ecstasy Classic 101B,it has one of the worlds most finely designed printed circuit boards,it kills at what it does.
I am a hardcore Metropoulous Amp fan so I am biased,but George makes the best Marshalls out there today,any flavor you want,JTM45,JTM45/100,JTM50,JMP50,JTM100,12000 series,10000 series,'67 JTM.JMP Super Bass,you name it George can build it and they are KILLERTrust me I have played all of them and George makes bulletproof classic Marshall tone.

Simple answer. There isn't anything better than a marshall. Plenty of stuff that is different, but not marshall. Marshall defined the tone everyone digs, but others are taking that basic sound in new directions. Some good and others are bad (depends on what you like). Can't beat a marshall IMHO. But it sure is fun to try.

I've tried avoiding buying another marshall head for the better part of a year to cover the gain territory that the Edana I have can't cover. I bought two different high gain amps (peavey XXX and Traynor YCS-100) but neither one gives me the sweet midrange I crave. They both are nice in their own way, but they aren't what I want. I really want Theodie's Marshall JCM-900 and it's taken me over a year to break down and finally decide to get one just like his. Sad but true. I don't listen to smart people when they give me advice and Theodie gave me great advice that I tried not to follow for quite a while. Now I'm gonna have to off the Traynor and get the 900 of my dreams. After that, I may break down later and get a 5150 or something for the seriously deranged stuff when I get a wild hair.

You see, true as that might be, why not just a buy a Marshall? You know its going to sound like one, because it is one...
