match me??

New member
well ive been looking for the perfect guitar for a while and i havent had any luck. I was wondering if someone here could help me. Here is what im looking for:



-mahogany body
-preferabl duncans, but could any good pups I wont need to replace..
-preferably thru body stringing
-something that can fit styles from metal to alternative
-not something cheap , $500 and up probably

Any motherfuzzer who defiles a Tele with metal (or anything even remotely resembling metal/emo) will get a stern talking to.

yeah, teles just aint made for metal, personally i'd find it an insult to use teles and play metallica or something. haha.

same thing can be said for using a King V to play pop!! :D:D:D:D

Then you need to talk to Tom Morello of Audioslave /RATM and Jari Mäenpää of Wintersun.

And whatever talking you wanted to do, it´s nothing compared to the public flogging you should get for mentioning Metal and Emo in such close relation.... That´s almost like saying Stevie Wonder is a white guy pretending to be black because he can´t see the mirror :laugh2:

Zerb, I didn't mean emo and metal are the same, they are very different genres. I'm just saying that the Telecaster shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as either genre.

Teles are for plugging into the 'bright' input, turning the treble to 8 and the bass and mids way down, and then busting out some 50's polka groove. Maybe some surf music stuff. They're made for being played above your belly button (with a 24" strap). They're made for standing in one spot and swaying back and forth to the beat, while you wear goofy glasses and a suit.

Not for metal.

Yeah, and Hillary Duff's guitarist plays one. You can't get much more metal than that.

(I saw his pic when I followed the link - it's not like I know anything about HD's band or anything. Really.)
