Matching Duncan cream singles to Dimarzio cream 'buckers

Re: Matching Duncan cream singles to Dimarzio cream 'buckers

The DiMArzio's always look "older" to me.

Agreed. And they tend to darken/discolor more with age. Part of that is the softer bobbin material (nylon?), which also seems more susceptible to light exposure.

I imagine if everything "cream" was the shade of that 70's "The JB Model" I posted, everyone would be happy in the real world. That is, of course, unless you don't really like "cream" :)

I think PRS does the best cream-parchment hybrid color on their USA pickups and trim rings. The lighter coil on the Black Winter pickup in my photo is close. Not to be confused with the "cream" on the zebra S2 or SE model G&B pickups, though. Those are weirdly yellow and seem to get more yellow over time. Although, arguably anything is better than the skin-toned, pinkish-cream Gibson has used in recent years...yuck!

Maybe I missed it, but why not just use DMZ covers in the matching color?
