Matchless amps

they have a few newer designs that Joneser and I saw at the LA Amp Show.

I'd cry if I ever had to part with the Chieftain 2-12. As a side note, there's NO reason to say that Sampson era Matchless amps are better than the new 'Jamison era' amps. They were partners who split, but Jamison builds them to the exact same specs, with all the same components.

I'm really excited about Jamison's new Matchless amps, the channel switching Independence, Avenger, and also the Phoenix 35. I think the Independence would be an incredible amp to own, although I think they red/white/blue backlit logo/script is kinda corny.

There was an Ebay auction for a Phoenix 35 head that ended yesterday. I wanted so badly to snipe that amp, but the seller had a few negatives, and the amp ended at $830, which is WAY too low. I think someone got scammed. If not, that buyer scored the deal of a lifetime. If the feedback was good, and the seller had a great feedback history, it woulda been mine.
I was watching that auction closely.
What do you guys think of this auction?? I wanted this sucker badly.

Re: Matchless amps

Someone on the gear page pointed out that this exact description and pictures were on the Austrailian ebay site last week. Look at the guy's feedback.

Re: Matchless amps

Some poor bastid is about to lose over $830 then. I wonder if someone should contact the buyer and tell him?
