Same here. I'd kinda like to have at least one Les Paul with flamethrower pickups. Those EMG's, something of Seymour's, whatever.

SD has released 7 string passive pups in that ugly EMG 707 format.

I didn't know that. I just knew of the Blackouts. If I could get rid of the EMGs and replace them with Distortions, it's be a worthwhile guitar. Plus I kind of like the 24.75" scale.

I'd definitely be interested for two reasons: I'm a sucker for a black Les Paul, and those pups are worth more than the stock Epi pups that come in non signatures. Thus less money actually spent on upgrading electronics. But unless some financial miracle happens, I'm not gonna have $750 to spend on a guitar any time soon.

I don't know anything about Trivium or Matt Heafy so I don't care about his signature nor does his personal preferences on pickups stir my interest but the look is kinda cool. That said, I've never seen an Epi LP 7-string. Did I miss something? Seriously, not being a smart-a$$ here. Have they made 7-string LPs before?

They were making them in the late 90s/early 2000's when Korn was still big. I haven't seen any since then, until now.
