maxon od-9 vs mi audio blues pro vs ?

i am in the market for a light to medium od pedal. i have tried alot of them over the past few months. i like the ts based sounds the most but i dont care for the mid spike they have. i have been checking around online and so far i like the maxon od-9 and the mi audio blues pro seems good as well. although i am not sure it the blues pro is anything similar to a ts. i have considered an analogman od-9 with the silver mod but am not sure if its worth the extra price. i was wondering if anyone here had any experience with the od-9 modded or stock or the blues pro. if so what are your thoughts. i will also consider other suggestions as well. i will use this pedal alone for lighter stuff. and will use it to added alittle boost to my distorted amp some.

These pedals are very different! The Blues Pro has more gain than the Maxon. I like the Maxon pedals better. The Blues Pro sounds compressed and very thick. I'm not saying it's not a great pedal. What I am saying is that it is not a pedal I prefer. The Maxon has a very pleasing sound. Very nice! It's good on any setting. The silver mod is a good idea to get. Maxon gets my vote!

Love the Blues Pro! Haven't tried the Maxon though. The consensus seems to be that the Blues Pro doesn't have quite the mid hump of most tube screamer type pedals.

Agreed it does have quite a bit of available gain. I would describe it as a smooth OD, which is why I like it so much, and great for cascading with other pedals.
