Mayones guitars?

I've seen a few bands playing these, especially Euro bands, and they not only look gorgeous but seem to have great feature sets. Also seem to be comparable to USA PRS in prices.

Does anyone have experience with the brand? How is playability, sound, quality for the price?

Came across a chance to buy a used 9/10 condition Duvell 7 standard. The guy posted it in a Toronto gear group for 1800 and not until we started making plans to meet did he say "btw that was in USD but this is a great price". That works out to about $2370 CAD, and I can pick it up locally.

So I need to be talked into or out of it! Please give me some guidance friends!

I'm not buying this from an online store, but rather a community buy and sell of local musicians, so ending up with a fake isn't a major concern. People are generally exposed for shifty deals.

But I am wondering if the price on the table is reasonable for this guitar. What say you SDUGF?

Thats a hard question to answer especially on a brand that isnt well known. Just research research research.

Edit: no i first saw the Mayones Setius Dive Bomb XTrem 36 fret whilst researching build ideas. :baby:

Here is the website of a store local to me which carries all types of high end gear, including Mayones. He only has one in stock right now but there is a custom order form you can check out. It should at least give you an idea of what a brand new one would go for.

Fwiw, I’m gassing HARD for one of these....if you like the one this guy has I’d jump on that in a second.
I’ve heard nothing but good things about them...never played one though.

In the same way I drove out and bought my JPX sight previously unseen, I wonder if I would feel the same instant connection if the Duvell is everything it's cracked up to be.

I've owned a 1996 Mayones Maestro, which I had to sell to pay unforeseen medical bills.

Best neck I've ever played. The action and feeling was top notch in every aspect.

They're worth every penny they ask for and then some, if you ask me.
