ME-50 noise.

Recently when playing through my ME-50 I've noticed an extreme amount of noise at high gain levels compared to plugging straight into the amp. Literally about 2-4x as much. I checked the cables, they're good, but the hissing is driving me crazy, and my tone seems like it's tamed. The cleans are fine, no noise and my tone is not noticeably different. What can I do to fix this? Would putting it in the effects loop help? I mostly use it for delay and chorus/phaser etc., but I also use the expression pedal with the ring mod, resonance, and octave shifter a fair amount. I also use the volume pedal a lot. So, some of these effects are normally put in front of the amp, and some in the effects loop... what do I do?

I took this unit back to GC for the same reason.

I have no issue with mine when useing the noise gate. That feature is very transparent and works extremely well. Calmed the hiss on my Plexi very nicely as well.

The problem is that my amp is usually extremely quiet, and the noise gate doesn't really work to cut off the hiss from the pedal.

Not been an issue for me, much quieter than stomps, at least my stomps..

Will moving it to the effects loop help at all?
