Measurements of a P-90

I was wondering what the measurements of a soapbar p-90 is. I was thinking about putting a pair in my G&L but I think that their version is a little bit skinnier. Any of you guys with some let me know please.

I thought I would add that my cut outs in the pickguard are 3 5/8 by 1 1/4.

Check the SD website -- if you look at the P90 descriptions they should have a link to the dimensions.

It looks like they are a 1/16 wider than mine. I can do a little shaveing on my pickguard and make them fit.

I dont think I can get a pickguard like this, it was a limited edition that they made only one year. I'll check and see if I can, because that would be alot better than scewing up my only one.

If it's a limited edition American-made G&L, then you might want to hold on modifying it as it might have some collectible value one day. I think Rio Grande still makes an alnico mag replacement pickup for the large G&L MFD. I think the stock G&L pups sound very good -- a bit like a hi fi P90, so rolling off the treble gets it pretty close. I would think the SD custom shop and others could make a direct retrofit version if you don't care for the Rios.

I found another pickguard so I am going to alter that one instead. I realy only have a problem with the bridge pup, it sound to cold and shrill. I dont think it matches up with the neck very well. I thought about trying out the Rio Grande replacement for it but they are $100 a pop.
