I finally got a chance to measure the mystical EBMM Axis buckers/EVH buckers that eventually carried over to all the dual bucker models. I was pretty surprised by what I found. Now mind you I measured these IN the guitar.
Neck 14.8
Bridge 16.9
This leads me to believe that the neck must use 44awg because it's a lot clearer than if you put, say a Custom or C5 in the neck. It sounds just a little more modern than a PAF. It's been said the ups are a modified Air Zone and Air Norton, and judging form the DCR I can believe it. Being I don't buy Dimarzios though I'll need someone else's opinion. I also remember Dmz said a few years back that now the AT-1 was closest to the EBMM bridge.
Anyhow, just some info for you guys.
