Megaswitch and parallel wiring

so it seems that i'm stying with and Invader/Full Shred combo for my Jackson DXMG. Since I'm gonna replace the complete electronics and wiring along with installing the new pups i thought about putting a megaswitch 5-way in there. So the wwiring scheme provided by rockinger seems promising and the switch positions would be like this

1.Neck
2.Neck split(stud)
3.Neck split&Bridge split in parallel
4.Bridge Split(stud)
5.bridge

what makes me unsure is the parallel thing. Upto now i always kept my wiring simple and easy but now i want something more.
So tell me whats the difference between running the split coils in series or parallel. Soundwise and from a electric point of view.

In series the middle position of your guitar would be louder than if the 2 coils were wired in parallel, probably closer to the full humbucker sounds of the bridge & neck pickups alone. The 2 stud coils in parallel would probably have the weakest output of any of the positions on the guitar.

Note: If you use the stud coil of one pickup and the screw coil of the other, it would be more (if not completely) hum canceling.

sorry, i made a mistake about the coils. Of course it's one screw and one stud coil.
For those of you have split invaders or Full Shreds, which coil should i use for split on which pickup to geta useable sound?

i do not think you'll notice a substantial difference if you select to split the stud vs. the screw coil in those pups

that wiring is not hard to get at all, expecially with a superswitch .. bigboybob is right, a series combo will be louder than a parallel combo

series is louder and deeper. I haven't really found much use for series
between pickups, theres something about the gain reduction and clarity
of the parallel setting that is more usable to me, having a cleaner, more
airy tone than the neck PU.

On the other hand, I have a G&L tele style with the big MFD pickups and
I put series AND an out of phase switch, and that takes some of the edge
off of a pretty nasty sound while getting some boost. But its a bit on the
special side...
