Megaswitch P Wiring

I thought that I'd run this by some of the wiring experts here since this is not one of my strengths. I'm installaing a Custom (br) and Jazz (n) with a Megaswitch P and want to make sure that I wire properly to each lug. First, I plan on flipping the magnet on the neck pickup. I'm assuming that the magnets for all humbuckers are oriented with the same polarity from the factory but will check this when I receive the pickups. The diagram says that the following connections (1-7) should be make. Could someone tell me if I have the wires correct? I have typed how I think it should be in parenthesis.
Thanks.
Scott

The 7 switch lugs should be wired as diagrammed:
1. Series link (coil-tap) of neck pickup (red and white wires)
2. Hot output, to volume pot (connect a wire from switch to pot)
3. Series link (coil-tap) of bridge pickup (red and white wires)
4. Ground (without shield) from bridge pickup (Green wire)
5. To ground (back of volume pot) (bare wire from bridge pup)
6. Hot wire from neck pickup (green wire from neck pup)
7. Hot wire from bridge pickup (black wire from bridge pup)

The link for the wiring is below.

Re: Megaswitch P Wiring

I see one potential problem, and I can't confirm if it really is a problem, because I've never seen the internal workings of one of those switches. Stew-Mac is saying to reverse the polarity of one magnet. But they don't say to reverse the wiring. That makes me assume that the phase reversal happens internally to the switch. And that means that you have the neck hot and green backwards.

I would make lug "6" the black wire from the pup and put green and bare, (of the neck), to the back of the pot. I'm basing that assumption on the fact that SM doesn't say to reverse either pup anywhere on that diagram.

Edit: As I look at the PRS wiring more, I would just go ahead and do it as you have it. If it works, great. If not, then you can just reverse the black and green wires of the neck pup.

Re: Megaswitch P Wiring

when I have used them, I turn the neck pickup so that it actually repels against the bridge and wired them according to the instructions. Beware that your #2 position will be a little weaker than the rest, but should yield some pretty cool sounds.
