mesa boogie F series amps are awesome!!!!

well, today, my friends stan and gabriel went down to guitar center to jam for a little bit. it ended up we were there for 5 hours and it was so awesome!
so i went into the mesa room and just started jamming out on my favorite amp, the mark 4, and saw the f-50 right behind it on a 1x12 cab and plugged in. they had some sample settings on top of the amp and i tried one of them. GREAT ROCK TONE!!! sounded alot like the load, reload metallica album tones. very crunchy and thick.
of course the mark 4 kicked ass too, but i had to spend a good hour with it to get the best result for tone. but damn, those F seires amps are awesome. and cheap too!!

they had a stilletto there but i couldn't figure out how to work it. and it pisses me off that only a few amps are actually plugged in, or the amp is plugged in but not to teh cab :smack:

but anyways, yes!! the F series are awesome amps! i can only imagine how good it would sound a loud volumes! :13:

I played the F-30 short head through that mesa 2x12 vertical stack. I was blown away. I wanted to purchase it, but I just got a new amp, and I don't need 3

Solution: Get rid of the crate.

I don't know, that crate kicks serious ass. It sounds way better than a marshall. Plus it's portable, 1x12 cabinet. I'm going to have to post some clips because you guys still don't believe me.

+1 I have the same amp the crate does kick ass! I was just thinking the same thing when I tried out the F50 It is so nice but I just got an amp.

The have amp heads plugged into to power but not hooked up to cab? Hopefully no one turns 'em on.

Yeah, I saw one on Saturday - seems like a really good price. You guys are really tempting me to go play it now.

I recently played my 89 Les Paul through a F30 1X12. Decent clean channel not real chimey like a Vox or rich sounding like a Fender, but decent. The OD channel with the contour engaged sounded like a rocks inside a garbage can as it rolled down a hill. I was not impressed. Played a Dr Z Ghia and loved that one; very chewy and full bodied tone and also very loud. The Z is a much better amp and it is only a little more money than the Mesa.
