It took me a second to decide whether or not I should take you seriously. The sad part is I actually thought you weren't joking until I clicked "Quote" and saw the link to John Petrucci's site. :smack: :laugh2:

Hahahaha you're going to site Zorran as an example to me?

I'm actually good buddies with him ;).

The song Apathy was 100% Peavey XXX into a Mesa trad cab with a single 57. There's maybe 2-3 actualy MKIV songs on that page.
Whats wrong with that? I really like his style.. you just blast away alot of times and i like the softer side of things mixed in (Opeth obviously :laugh2: )

I was wondering if apathy was really the same amp, cause it does have a harsher sound to it. What about vulvacure? I still like the sound of the MIV to the peavey because of the smooth crunch it has. Does he use EMGs in his clips?

Re: mesa boogie mark IV amp appreciation thread...

JB's actually... not sure that Vulvacure is, but I'll ask!

Re: mesa boogie mark IV amp appreciation thread...

One of his songs. JB is interesting.. i dont really hear it in his clips. Good sound though!

Hell, Apathy was actually recorded and mixed by my even better friend, James Boyd... that was a stock C-1 Classic into an OD808, XXX, mesa trad cab, and single 57, backed by a DI'd Warwick bass and Sansamp PSA-1 plugin, drums by DFHS.
