Mesa Mark 1 question !

A friend phoned me and asked if i can ask this question here !


Question :

" was there any Mesa Boogie MK1's vintage or reisue's that came with push pull knobs on the front face plate ? "

Not sure why he wants to know - but i'll find out !

I'm not sure about a reissue but as far as the originals go...it wasn't listed in the schematic but I wouldn't doubt it a bit that one could have been factory (or back yard shed) modded with a push pull pot or two.

I had a really early one in my shop years ago (the back was labeled with one of those dial and squeeze labelers). It had the optional reverb and EQ and, if I am recalling correctly, a push pull mid boost. I do remember that the circuit boards were 1/4" thick and the rest of it was also built like a tank...what an awesome piece of equipment, I will never forget it!

So far i could nor find any info on the net about any MK1's that came stock w any fron panel push/pull knobs !

Keep em comming, if there is anyone else that know something about this topic !

The Boogie Files has a lot of information regarding the Mark series amps. He discusses push/pull controls on the Mark I on that page.
