I am looking at getting a Mesa Mark IV combo and was wondering if the speaker is hardwired or connected via 1/4" cable. The reason I'm inquiring about this is because I would like to get this amp and then place an attenuator between the amp and speaker to get that great poweramp distortion at respectable levels. If this is possible I would also like to know what the impedance is, so I know which attenuators to look at.
