Mesa Mark V is on the way!

I just put my order in for my Mesa Boogie Mark V head and I didn't just get a plain black one, I got a cool blue bronco color with a tan grill and classic black and white boogie badge with a dark brown leather handle and corner protectors. I got $150 in bonus bucks for the purchase so I'm going to use that for the hyper switch and give that a try in my 3 humbucker strat. I'm so stoked to finally get this amp ordered! I finally have a full fledged professional amp now! Do I need one? That's another story but do we really 'need' anything? Will post some pics when it arrives.

I did do a little thinning of the heard to make room/money for the Mark V I sold my fender super sonic 22 head for 1200 to a local Luther(he also agreed to do some work on a guitar for me). I got rid of the super sonic because 1) my egnater has a clean channel that sounds just like the fender and 2)it just didn't have enough gain for me and finally 3) the Mark V has 3 great clean channels with the tube reverb.

Great amp. Congrats. I'm jealous.

Thank you, my tracking says it's going to arrive tomorrow.(that's really fast) I will post some pics when it first arrives. I think I'm going to start without the sliders active and start in the middle of the 'sweet spot range' for each tone knob and gain knobs until I find something I like then I will activate the sliders and add the boost and any other finishing touches it may need. I'm definitely going into this amp with the mindset of investing some time into finding different tones that I like rather than passing a judgement on the whole amp on the second day of ownership. I'm glad that I have my two notes captor X to be able to turn the amp up a little bit to find a 'sweet spot ' in the volume.

Congratulations! My tax bill was more than expected so I cancelled my Engl Savage order. I can enjoy a new amp vicariously through you.

Its funny what having to wait two months for a backordered item does to your perception of how much you want something.

It would take me 4-6 months to explore all that this amp has to offer.
