yes, the flexi is a single channel.

the maverick has about as much clean headroom as my bassman but alot of it depends on tubes. when i got my bassman it had too much headroom, ive swapped things around so that i can now get it to break up where i want it or close anyway. i like the blue angels very much as well but the maverick has a foot switchable 2nd channnel. thats nice for playing live. with the recto switch, overall master volume and a good set of tubes you should be able to get plenty of clean volume

Yeah, the second channel is why I'm considering a new amp for live playing. My BF Bassman head is great, but you have to turn it up WAY loud for it to sound it's best. I guess I just have to get to a store that carries Mesa amps and play the darned things! :burnout:
