the trick is to buy it used in excellent condition at a good price, trick it out to sound extremely expensive but at almost the same new price. I got mine for around 500.00 I will trick it out to sound almost as good as a Soldano but not nearly the price. Then it becomes a great amp at a cheap price.
If you look on the Websight they have several mods listed. he will also cut you a deal on doing several mods at once that saves you cash cuz he basically has the thing already opened up at that point. I dont want to spend over 500.00 to trick it out. I also dont want the "clean" channel mod as I just want this thing to be a 15 watt screamer. If its tricked out right, it wont need many pedels to sound good-maybe just a little reverb or whatever. He can even add levels of built in Variac option to take it to one watt. I dont want to brag him up till I get it back but he does have some clips of his work and it seems to sound pretty good. I checked around the web and people speak positive of his work. Check Kruse Kustoms out and check out the sound clips. I am gunna give him a shot. he lists most of the mods on his sight.
