Mesa Single Rectifier

Re: Mesa Single Rectifier

Sick! If you're free, could you please do a clip for me with enhanced highs and a little less bass? That would be swell!

Re: Mesa Single Rectifier

Downloading now, but what happened to the Fireball?

Plus, you haven't really joined the dark side with Alex and I until you're playing 7 strings exclusively ;).

Re: Mesa Single Rectifier

Sounds cool, definately not a typical Recto tone, though. Maybe try out a little less bass, more presence, and gain, as well as possibly quadtracking it? If you try quadtracking, pan the guitars hard left and right, and then out 80% left and right

Re: Mesa Single Rectifier

Sounds great. Why do rectos get bashed so much?

Upon second listen, it could use a little more high end.

Re: Mesa Single Rectifier

Sounds cool! One question though.

How hard did you get to crank that? It sounds like it could be opened up a little more...

Re: Mesa Single Rectifier

Is that the vintage channel??? It doesn't quiet sound like the modern channel but I could be wrong.

Re: Mesa Single Rectifier

Sorry guys, I don't typically take requests. Thanks for listening, though!

It's in modern mode, moderately loud.

Guitar was a Stratocaster w/floyd and Distortion bridge.

Re: Mesa Single Rectifier

I think you had some good sound, maybe a Tube Screamer to boost the signal. Other than that, it sounded fine to me. Nice Job.

Re: Mesa Single Rectifier

I didn't spend a lot of time on the mix, hence the low-end heaviness and lack of high end. There will be more recordings in the future with more gain and with a better balance.

By the way, I tried 7 strings and it wasn't for me. Although, I must say it was most likely that particular guitar that left a bad taste in my mouth. :damnit:

i have no problem with the low end but i love a real fat guitar tone also. i like to piss the bass player off LOL. nice playing and cool tone IMO.
