I've been a big fan of building pedal boards. I did one a few years ago and am in the middle of another which should be done once I get around to some routing and ordering the Tolex. Protection is the key, but for something that gets put on the ground pedals are naturally the brunt of some serious abuse over time.

Unfortunately not everyone is as kind to their pedals as we are....

Yeah....Mine never touch ground and they are all velcroed onto my very organized pedal board...

Bludave had PMd me with some great graphic ideas...I'd really like either stickers that you print onto or decals...

I'm thinking when I build my own pedalboard, I'm going to build a "multi-effects" but essentially it will be like three or four effects boxes hardwired into one big pedal with individual on off switches and even a patch system in the back so I can take certain effects out of the loop. I think that would be killer....have like overdrive/distortion/delay/compression ...something basically like that :)

Re: Messing With Graphics For My Pedals

Gotta hand it to ya John... I LOVE the graphics on those... especially the Smooth Mouse one :D

Re: Messing With Graphics For My Pedals

I like the Smooth Mouse one.

How about doing one with a photo of a circuit board? So it looks like an exposed circuit you're stamping on.

Re: Messing With Graphics For My Pedals

So,. are you just gluing a picture onto the box? Did you make the graphics yourself? Tell us more. This is quite interesting

Re: Messing With Graphics For My Pedals

Looks lovely John. Can't say much else, there's nothing I can tell you about your design that you probably wouldn't have thought of.

Good job!

Re: Messing With Graphics For My Pedals

Why not lay the graphics down and throw a couple layers of clear coat over it? Would that not be enough protection?

Re: Messing With Graphics For My Pedals

Those look great, John. I know several folks at Aron's forum would love to see those.

The Smooth Mouse pedal does have a few coats of glossy clear coat on it.The Blue Magic is just a shiny glossy photo paper glued to the top of the pedal...I'll be getting either some decals, stickers,or both soon to try...
