metal track, what can be impoved?

hello all,

I recorded a quick track of one of our songs yesterday, just to be able to listen to the drum tracks and make guitar for it. but after i added guitars, it actually sounded good. were gonna start recording young bands with no money who cant pay for real studio time at my drummers house, and I need to know what things I can do to make my recordings better.

But keep in mind I only mic'ed the kick, snare, and one condensor. I'll mic the whole drum kit better when I record for real.

what can i do to the guitars? reverb, comp, etc?

You can Google tons of stuff on the web, start reading and apply what you have read then keep what you like and throw the rest away.
