This is the brit sounding pedal from MI Audio. Do people like this pedal? For those of you who own it, what amp do you play it in front of?

Re: MI Audio Crunch Box - do you like this pedal?

It's the most convincing Marshall in a box I've ever heard. It sounds like a cranked JCM800, plenty of gain for Metal like Maiden and Priest. Hit it with a TS type of clean boost and it will take the paint of the walls.

Cheers,

CJ

What amp have you played it through?

What amp have you played it through?

Fender Bassman, Marshall Lead 12, Marshall JCM 800 2204, Marshall JMP 1987, Fender Champ (early 70s), and a small Crate practice amp. It sounds incredible through ALL of them! For the money you can't beat it.

Cheers,

CJ

Sounds great into the '59 Bassman RI and the 2204. Oh yeah, also used it going into my Z-Vex Nano Head and really loved it. It's a very nice pedal!

Great cranked Marshall tones from that little red box.
I swore off all dist pedals until i discovered the Crunch Box.
REally nice pedal, the price is good too!

I'm using it in front of a Carvin X-50B set to clean.

it's a nice pedal.......marshall in a box, and it has enough gain...i've got version 2 with the internal trim pot for adjusting presence......

I am also waiting for a mi audio tube zone to arrive................

I've got a Tube Zone as well, it's an AWESOME pedal, ultra versatile. In fact I have The Blues Pro, Blue Boy Deluxe, Boost n' Buff and the 1st version Crunch Box. I'm going to get the 2nd version of the Crunch Box as well. Obviously I'm a HUGE fan of MI Audio.

Can the CB do good slightly gritty, edge of breakup tones, or is it better for more gainy stuff?

You guys have really got to hear the G2D classic overdrive.
