Does anyone have any experience with this brand? There's a single-cut I'm considering used but haven't had a chance to test it yet.

Decent mid-level instruments at the high 3nd of their range. Budget for a complete set up to include a new nut, a fret level/Crown. That will bring your cost up usually a couple hundred, if you know a good tech, and thats a whole nuther can of worms ,unless you like real high action, by the time it's all over with. Most peoppe just play them as-is, not really knowing any better. A nice platform for a pickup upgrade.

Never owned one but a local store had one for a while. Solid guitar, wasnt set up well but that was the store's fault. Im sure with a good set up it'll be great!

I have a Patriot Custom and have owned a couple of their other ones. Not sure what model you are looking at, but all that Ive had and played have been quite nice. The higher end ones come with Rockfield pickups and the ones Ive tried are better than many OEM pickups. Matter of fact, I kept the stock neck pickup in mine and I change pickups in EVERYTHING unless it comes with Duncans or high end pickups stock. The build has been good on all of them, nice fretwork,play great.. One small detail that may not matter to most, but it impressed me because IMO it shows attention to detail. When I opened up the electronics cavity, not only was the soldering and cavity very clean, but the wires were nicely bundled up with a tie on them. Very nice cavity.
Is it the best guitar I have or have played? No. But, if I played gigs, I would NOT hesitate to gig it and I feel they are easily worth much more than they sell for.

They are worth checking out. They well exceed quality standards you find in comparable price ranges ime.
