A Flextone would be an upgrade from a Spider IV but it's just more of what you already have. The power amp, speakers and cabinet are better but at its core still using same modelling architecture.

Digital amps give you many options but you might end up only using a few of them. It's the complete opposite of using an amp that has only three knobs.
